Sara Goggin Young: Sara Young was an all American Swimmer and captain of her High School Swim Team her Senior Year at Oak Park River Forest. Sara received a Swimming Scholarship and was captain of Arizona State University, which is a Division One Athletic Program. She received a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice and minored in Political Science. After ASU, Sara moved to California to coach two swimming teams and run a swim clinic at Manhattan Beach Country Club. She then moved back to Chicago and received her Juris Doctorate at John Marshall Law School. Sara was married and pregnant with her second child when she started taking Pilates based Physical Therapy at Core. Waddling thru the Spin studio at eight months pregnant she caught the “bug” for Spinning and Pilates! Anxious to lose weight, and become the athlete she once was, Sara focused completely on Spinning and Pilates. Taking a break from practicing law, while raising her two children she was able to become a Certified Spinning Instructor with Beverly Ride On since 2009. After taking course work through Rehab Connections with Diane Fidler, Sara went on to complete a 200 plus hour certification course in Pilates mat and apparatus with Diane through her Core in Training Program. She instructs her Spinning Classes with a Pilates approach. She believes in total mind body connection and through connecting with each part of your body you are able to train your entire body and hit each muscle while on the bike. Sara followed her Athletic training as a swimmer to create her Spinning work-outs. She also inspires her class to incorporate the Pilates principals in what is called “Core Spin”.
